The Opportunity
Due to internal promotion, we are seeking a dynamic leader to enhance primary healthcare delivery across our regions. Reporting to the Senior Manager – General Practice and Reform, this position will manage quality improvement programs and initiatives through partnership, collaboration and data stewardship.
Key Accountabilities
1. Implement and monitor quality improvement programs and activities that meet Department of Health quality performance indicators and national and regional health priorities.
2. Activity lead duties for the General Practice Investment Strategy, Strengthening Medicare and other commissioning programs relevant to general practice.
3. Recommend development of models of care that support sustainable rural health in alignment with strategic work plans and funder expectations.
4. Data capture and reporting for internal and external stakeholders including participation in planning for health needs assessment.
5. Manage and lead employee development and performance ensuring team cohesion and collaboration.
About You
You are a strategic thinker skilled in building relationships able to inspire team performance to achieve organisational strategies. Our ideal candidate is passionate about improving health outcomes across our catchment, equity access to primary care and developing a high-performing healthcare system.
Key Capabilities
1. Bachelor and / or post graduate qualifications in health or business plus a minimum five years’ experience, ideally gained in general practice and primary health sectors.
2. Proficiency in general practice data analytic tools and quality improvement cycle methodology.
3. Proven leadership experience with adaptive communication skills that can reach diverse audiences.
4. Experience in change management and developing training and support materials.
5. A connection to Murray PHN’s catchments, our vision and values with a strong level of cultural competency.
