Join On Tap Services | Lead our SA expansion | Mix of Ops + BD | Plumbing-qualified
Are you a qualified plumber looking to step into a leadership role with real opportunity to shape, grow, and lead a new state operation? On Tap Services is expanding into South Australia — and we’re looking for a driven Operations Manager to establish, build, and oversee our SA presence.
If you’re hands‑on, great with clients, commercially minded, and ready to take the next step in your career, this is the role for you.
About the Role
As our Operations Manager – South Australia, you will be the key on‑ground leader responsible for launching and growing On Tap in the SA market. This is a rare opportunity to join a thriving WA‑based Plumbing and Electrical business and be the driver of our interstate expansion.
You’ll manage day‑to‑day operations, build relationships with key clients, win new work, and help recruit and lead our future SA team. The role begins with autonomy and plenty of support from our WA operations team — but evolves quickly into managing your own local workforce.
What You’ll Be Doing
Operational Leadership
Run day‑to‑day SA operations, from scheduling and job set‑up to quality assurance.
Quote jobs, coordinate workflows, and manage subcontractors and future staff.
Ensure all works meet our high standards for safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Use AroFlo and internal systems to manage jobs, reporting, and communication.
Client Relationships & Business Development
Act as the face of On Tap Services in SA.
Build strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Identify opportunities, win new work, and grow our pipeline.
Prepare quotes, proposals, and tenders.
Help recruit and onboard On Tap’s first SA technicians as we grow.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight.
Foster an energetic, values‑driven On Tap culture in our new SA region.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Plumber (required for QA, technical leadership, and compliance).
Strong client‑facing skills and experience quoting or managing jobs.
Confidence working independently with a high degree of autonomy.
Ability to juggle operational tasks with business development responsibilities.
Contractor’s license.
Leadership or supervisory experience within a plumbing or trade environment.
Experience managing small projects or running teams.
Familiarity with AroFlo or similar job management platforms.
Commercial mindset with an eye for opportunities.
The Right Fit
Self‑motivated, proactive, and excited by the idea of building something from scratch.
Excellent communicator and relationship builder.
Strong problem‑solver with sound judgment.
Ready to step into a career‑defining role.
What’s In It For You?
Career‑defining opportunity to establish and lead an entire state operation.
Competitive salary + Company Vehicle + Bonus Incentives
Ongoing support from a collaborative WA leadership team.
Pathway into a senior leadership role as the SA division grows.
Be part of a people‑first business known for quality, culture, and innovation.
First 6‑Month Success Looks Like
Build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
Run SA jobs independently without day‑to‑day WA support.
Secure new recurring clients and a growing work pipeline.
Recruit the first SA technician(s) and establish a strong team.
Hit revenue/margin targets appropriate for a new region.
Establish On Tap Services as a trusted provider in the South Australian market.
