Your Responsibilities
Select and approve suppliers together with Purchasing in line with PALFINGER standards, including the conclusion of quality assurance agreements
Introduce and further develop suppliers regarding PALFINGER processes and quality requirements, including the definition of inspection and test plans
Plan and support prototypes, first samples and pre-series phases, ensuring robust quality assurance measures for new products and relocation projects
Conduct supplier audits (e.g. according to EN ISO 9001) and coordinate systematic process improvements between PALFINGER and external suppliers
Manage supplier-related complaints and warranty cases, including root cause analysis, definition and follow-up of corrective actions as well as monitoring of supplier quality KPIs
Your Qualifications
Technical education in mechanical or electrical engineering (e.g. HTL, technical college, master craftsman) or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in quality management/quality assurance, ideally in the metalworking industry and in collaboration with suppliers
Sound knowledge of QM methods and tools (e.g. APQP, 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa) and advantageously training as quality system manager and/or lead auditor
Very good English skills in spoken and written form; confident use of SAP and MS Office as well as strong intercultural and communication skills
High assertiveness and willingness to travel up to approx. 50% (primarily within Europe, occasional worldwide trips).
