Overview
Contract Operations Manager (f/m/d) Switzerland/Austria Cluster (CHAT) based in Baar, Switzerland or Vienna, Austria.
What You’ll Do
* Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage various types of contracts, including those with external stakeholders and procurement contracts within Biogen’s portfolio, using the Contract Life Cycle Management system. Negotiate contract terms, maintain and update templates to meet current legal requirements, and manage the entire contract lifecycle from creation to negotiation, signing, and monitoring contract performance.
* Liaison with Legal Corporate function for contract local needs analysis, template creation/modification, and approval of master agreements.
* Provide guidance and support to internal functions on contract-related matters and ensure proper documentation and filing of all contract-related documents.
* Legal Support: Support the affiliate with day-to-day legal business in close collaboration with Corporate Counsel.
* Corporate Administration: Support corporate administration activities, including Board of Directors and shareholders meetings, powers of attorney, and other corporate governance matters.
* Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees on contract-related topics and best practices.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate is a contract and legal professional with strong experience in contract lifecycle management (CLM) and a solid understanding of healthcare, procurement, and corporate governance. You should have high attention to detail and be able to handle day-to-day operational activities while liaising with legal colleagues and guiding internal stakeholders on complex legal and contract-related matters.
Required Skills
* University degree in business law or comparable studies with a strong legal focus, ideally life sciences or commercial/contract law.
* 5+ years of relevant experience in contract management or similar role, preferably in a pharmaceutical/life sciences company.
* Experience in contract negotiation, contract creation, and contract lifecycle management.
* Deep knowledge of contract law and relevant local pharmaceutical regulation in Switzerland and/or Austria.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Fluent in local language and proficient in English.
