Senior Digital Business Analyst, you will identify and prioritise business needs and then work with our teams to deliver high quality Digital solutions on time and on budget. You will work closely with the product owner, senior stakeholders, delivery teams and vendors to envisage, shape, elicit, analyse, model, communicate and deliver new initiatives and features.
Core Responsibilities
* Work with the Digital BA Lead, Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Owners and other stakeholders to discover and shape initiatives by the development of product vision, definition of features and scope etc. and support their delivery with Scrum teams.
* Plan, execute and monitor business analysis activities. That may include planning and leading the activities of a small business analysis team.
* Support the identification, prioritisation, elaboration and delivery of high‑value features on‑time and on‑budget.
* Manage the initiative backlog for your assigned squad, and act as a leader for that squad to ensure the team operates efficiently and continually improves.
* Understand and support the Jetstar Delivery Processes including Agile ways of working and release management, actively drive their use and contribute to their improvement.
* As a Senior BA you may be required to facilitate Agile work practices such as sprint planning, estimation, daily stand‑ups, reporting and retrospectives to drive delivery of a cross‑functional team.
* Identify, remove and escalation team impediments and risks. Regularly review team performance and take corrective action where activity is deviating from plan. Provide advice and direction to stakeholders, including management on issues that impact delivery of an initiative.
* Continually improve and evolve Agile business analysis practices and tools to drive team productivity.
* Adapt to work in parallel with Agile teams and more traditional Waterfall teams where required to deliver initiatives.
Key Skills
* Minimum 5 years' experience in business analysis, using a range of BA techniques.
* Tertiary qualification in IT, Business, E‑Commerce or equivalent experience.
* Professional Scrum Certification is desirable.
* Experience working in an Agile environment, in particular Scrum.
* Experience delivering Digital solutions.
* Strong analytical skills to provide insights as well as recommendations for changes to convince key company decision makers of business benefits of the proposed solutions.
* Very strong stakeholder management skills, excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organisation.
* A high degree of pro‑activeness in analysing customer behaviour using available data to influence changes on the website.
* Ability to understands the complex web ecosystems and best practices and apply this knowledge to their work.
* Technical background to understand relevant technology applications, technical solutions and system architecture. Ability to identify and drive requirements trade‑offs by proposing solution options to stakeholders.
