As the Team Lead for Strategic Procurement, you will develop procurement strategies that establish a global network of high-performing suppliers to support Siemens Energy’s leadership in the energy transition. You will spearhead strategic sourcing projects, ensuring that we partner with the best suppliers to meet our quality and sustainability goals. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering innovation and efficiency, contributing to our mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve strategic objectives and develop their skills for future growth within the organization.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that not only align with our business goals but also support our sustainability targets, ensuring long-term success and environmental responsibility.
3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and engineering, to identify and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities, driving efficiency and value across the organization.
4. Negotiate high-value contracts with key suppliers, ensuring that terms and conditions are optimized for Siemens Energy while maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with our partners.
5. Monitor market trends and supplier performance rigorously, using insights to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
What You Bring
6. A completed technical or commercial education, such as HTL, FH, or TU, that is relevant to the demands of this position.
7. Extensive experience in strategic procurement, demonstrating a proven track record of effective leadership and successful project outcomes.
8. Strong negotiation skills paired with a deep understanding of contract management, enabling you to secure favorable terms and build lasting partnerships.
9. Effective communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the organization.
10. Fluency in both English and German, with additional language skills considered an advantage.
