Electrical Engineer – Low Voltage Production – Schrems, Austria
Eaton is looking for an electrical engineer to design, develop, and support low‑voltage electrical systems and assemblies in our Schrems plant. The role ensures that all LVSA products meet performance, quality, and safety standards while supporting manufacturing efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and optimize electrical designs for LVSA products, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
* Select components (switchgear, breakers, relays, busbars, control devices) according to technical, quality, and cost requirements.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IEC, UL, NFPA, etc.).
* Provide technical guidance to production and assembly teams and troubleshoot electrical issues during assembly and testing.
* Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and System Engineers to ensure seamless integration of components.
* Validate designs through testing, simulation, and prototyping, and review products to ensure adherence to safety regulations and internal quality policies.
* Participate in root‑cause analysis for defects or failures and implement corrective actions.
* Work with Process Engineers to streamline manufacturing steps and recommend design changes that improve product reliability, manufacturability, and cost‑effectiveness.
>Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred but not required).
* Experience in electrical design, preferably in LV switchgear, panel building, or system assembly.
* Strong understanding of low‑voltage electrical systems, protection devices, and control circuits.
* Knowledge of international electrical standards (IEC 61439, UL 508A, etc.).
* Experience with testing equipment and measurement tools.
