Overview
Legal & Market Lead - Embedded Insurance (m/f/d) role at UNIQA Insurance Group. This role will work side by side with the Head of Embedded Insurance to drive strategic execution and operational excellence across UNIQA Group. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams, ensure delivery of strategic milestones, and help position UNIQA as a leader in Embedded Insurance in CEE. Join us to turn vision into measurable impact.
What to expect
Define and manage the legal setup of customer agreements and partner contracts (e.g., IT providers, TPAs) across multiple jurisdictions in the CEE / EU region, ensuring scalability and compliance.
Guide and support local organizations in structuring agreements, ensuring alignment with group standards and local regulatory frameworks.
Prepare internal and customer-facing legal documentation to support Embedded Insurance operations, including onboarding, claims, and service delivery.
Translate legal and compliance requirements into actionable business and operational models that enable market entry and effective partner collaboration.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments in insurance, InsurTech, and digital distribution across relevant markets, identifying risks and opportunities for Embedded Insurance.
Provide legal guidance on product design, partner agreements, and go-to-market strategies, ensuring regulatory fit and operational feasibility.
Collaborate closely with internal legal, compliance, and controlling teams to ensure alignment with UNIQA’s group policies and external regulations.
What we expect
* Law degree and several years of professional experience in an international legal or regulatory environment, ideally within insurance or financial services.
* Strong expertise in insurance and financial services regulation across CEE and multiple EU jurisdictions.
* Proven experience in structuring multinational agreements, operational models, and ensuring compliance in digital distribution.
* Strong analytical and risk assessment skills with the ability to translate legal insights into actionable business recommendations.
* Proficiency in legal research tools and solid understanding of data privacy, governance, and financial reporting requirements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to collaborate across functions and negotiate effectively in English (German or another CEE language is a plus).
