Department Description
You will be part of the Data and Reporting Governance AT team, a key department within the Data Management AT area at Erste Bank. We are looking for a motivated professional to help shape the future of AI governance across Erste Bank and the Sparkassen network.
Your Tasks
10. Lead the implementation of an AI Governance Framework across Erste Bank and Sparkassen
11. Assess (Generative) AI models and applications in alignment with internal governance standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines
12. Ensure AI usage complies with Erste Group’s risk profile
13. Perform control and oversight duties as part of a second line of defense function, including establishing regular monitoring mechanisms
14. Review and validate AI initiatives, delivering clear assessments and governance outcomes to stakeholders
15. Foster cross-functional collaboration with internal teams such as Data Scientists, Engineers, and Business Units
Your Background
16. University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
17. Solid experience with Generative AI models and a strong understanding of the AI/model development lifecycle, including explainability and monitoring
18. Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
19. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
20. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and clearly explain complex topics
21. Proactive and self-driven approach to learning and knowledge sharing
22. Responsible and growth-oriented attitude
23. Fluency in German and English; knowledge of a CEE language is a plus

27. The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 49.772,8 gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
