About the role

As the Chief Commercial Officer at Cropster, you will oversee our commercial functions, with a focus on fostering revenue growth, expanding market presence, and providing strategic guidance across Outbound Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Partnerships. You will develop and implement impactful strategies to achieve revenue objectives, optimize sales processes and introduce enterprise sales, and ensure alignment with company goals. You will closely collaborate with Marketing, Technology / Operations, Product, Finance, People & Culture, and other teams to help steer our growth journey. With our partner Verdane, the European specialist growth investor, we will further expand our software offering, accelerate growth, and consolidate our global market-leading position as the operating system for the coffee industry.


What you'll do

* Strategic Revenue Growth:

o Develop and implement thoughtful strategies to support revenue growth across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with our vision and goals.

o Identify and nurture new market opportunities and growth initiatives, with a focus on both inbound and outbound sales efforts and enterprise sales.

o Build on the current inbound product led sales funnel into a more sales led organisation.

o Support the organisation to triple ARR from today's 10 mio

* Strategic Direction for Sales and Marketing:

o Provide strategic guidance to the Sales and Marketing leaders by refining sales strategies, driving lead generation, and ensuring seamless processes.

o Promote strong collaboration between Sales and Marketing, fostering a unified approach to customer engagement and revenue growth.

* Account Management and Expansion:

o Implement strategies to support account retention and expansion, ensuring that key accounts receive tailored solutions and dedicated engagement.

o Regularly assess account performance and work with the team to expand business opportunities based on customer needs.

* Strategic Partnership Development:

o Identify and nurture strategic partnerships that broaden market reach and create new revenue streams.

o Strengthen relationships with key partners to generate additional opportunities for growth and market expansion.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Work closely with Product and Finance teams to ensure alignment between product development, sales efforts, and marketing strategies, promoting synergy across the organization.

o Act as a crucial member in our C-Level to set company-wide revenue goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and resource plans, ensuring cohesion and shared focus on organizational objectives throughout the different areas.

* Data-Driven Decision Making:

o Use data and analytics to inform decisions, refining sales and marketing strategies while identifying new growth opportunities.

o Stay informed on market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities, allowing the team to respond to market shifts proactively.

* Financial Oversight and Accountability:

o Oversee commercial budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently to meet revenue and profitability goals while maximising return on investment.

o Monitor financial performance across sales, marketing, and account management functions, adjusting strategies as needed.

* Team Leadership and Development:

o Foster a supportive, collaborative culture within Sales, Marketing, and Business Growth & Partnershps, providing mentorship, leadership, and opportunities for growth.

o Encourage innovation, professional development, and continuous learning to ensure team success and drive overall growth.

o You manage a team in Americas, Europe and APAC


What you'll work on


We are looking for someone with

* Extensive leadership experience in a similar role in the SaaS industry, including building go-to-market strategies and sales organizations from the ground up.

* A proven track record of driving revenue growth and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

* Strong background in SaaS marketing or experience in close collaboration with this area.

* Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a focus on fostering collaboration and inclusive work environments.

* A strategic mindset, capable of turning innovative ideas into actionable, results-driven plans.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships across teams and external partners.

* A thoughtful, data-informed decision-making approach, ensuring well-rounded and balanced outcomes.

* Experience in building impactful, long-term partnerships that drive business success.

* Financial acumen, including experience overseeing budgets and making sound commercial decisions.

* Enterprise-level experience, with insights into supply chain management and commercial strategy.

* Passion for fostering growth in a dynamic SaaS environment and comfortable stepping in and contributing wherever needed.

* A keen interest in the coffee industry and the specialty coffee market.

* A strong background in strategy, with deep commercial insights and the ability to shape organizational growth from an enterprise-level perspective.


What you can expect

The compensation package for this position consists of a base salary starting at € 150K gross/year and a variable component on top. We look at factors like your experience and individual qualifications to determine our offer.
