As the Director Policy & Public Affairs and External Communications you will provide optimal support to Country Lead as well as strategic leadership for all corporate affairs activitiesincluding policy public affairs External Communications Patient Advocacy and Corporate Social Responsibilitywhile representing the function on the Country Leadership Team.
You will drive the development and execution of integrated public affairs and communications strategies to advance business objectives and strengthen the organizations reputation. This role is pivotal in shaping external engagement with government media and key stakeholders ensuring message consistency and proactively managing the organizations public profile in a dynamic and complex environment.
In this role you will :
* Lead and coordinate all corporate affairs activitiesincluding policy public affairs communications patient advocacy and corporate social responsibility.
* Develop implement and oversee integrated public affairs and external communications strategies to strengthen corporate reputation support business objectives and drive stakeholder engagement at the country level.
* Set priorities for public affairs and external communications activities ensuring alignment with business goals and effective management of the organizations external footprint.
* Direct and lead engagement with key policymakers government officials influencers media and trade / business associations to advance strategic priorities and advocacy positions.
* Provide strategic counsel and communication support to senior leaders and cross-functional teams including the development of briefing materials talking points and executive communications.
* Create manage and ensure compliance of content for digital and social media channels including the corporate website and define measure and report KPIs for communication campaigns.
* Proactively anticipate identify and manage emerging issues risks and crisis situations ensuring rapid and effective response in complex environments.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (media relations policy teams) to ensure message consistency and support for core priorities and initiatives.
* Oversee the management of external PR agencies and third-party vendors ensuring administrative and compliance responsibilities are met including contracting material approval and data management in accordance with local and global regulations.
* Maintain strict compliance with all applicable policies and laws especially regarding interactions with government officials and third parties.
Minimum requirements :
* Minimum 10 years experience in public policy government relations public / corporate affairs External Communications or legal affairs with at least 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Advanced degree required preferably in law business public health or international policy.
* Exceptional understanding of public affairs and policy in driving business goals and deep knowledge of the public policymaking process.
* Extensive external network including government and key stakeholders with proven relationship-building skills.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective innovative and practical public affairs and policy solutions.
* Highly skilled at anticipating identifying and addressing emerging issues and risks.
* Strong executive presence and interpersonal acumen with experience operating on a company leadership team.
* Fluency in local language and English with outstanding oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to develop C-suite communications and convey relevant information with appropriate timing and context.
* Well-organized highly motivated creative and analytical problem solver.

The salary depends on your educational background and expertise as well as your previous experiences but will at least amount to 101.250 gross p.a. on a full-time base.
