Accounts Payable Services Team Leader
Lead and support the AP Services Team while working closely with sites to make sure company processes run smoothly. Keep key business functions, including billing, payments, vendor master data and schedule agreements, and corporate and fuel card administration, accurate and efficient. Deliver timely, actionable reports and get involved in process improvement projects, document workflows, manage change and collaborate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, recruit, and develop the Accounts Payable Services team, including performance reviews, absence management, and cross-training.
* Oversee payment functions including cashier operations, credit card and purchase card administration, fuel card compliance, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Ensure process standardisation, data integrity, and compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
* Analyse system and process issues, provide recommendations, and implement improvements to enhance Accounts Payable Services.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and other teams to maintain communication, resolve requests, and support new initiatives from planning to implementation.
* Act as 2IC to the National Accounts Payable & Services Manager and perform ad-hoc duties as required.
About you:
* Advanced Microsoft Office and SAP skills with strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
* Experienced leader in team management, recruitment, performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative culture.
* Strong project and change management skills, driving process improvement and business efficiency.
* Analytical and strategic, using data to guide reporting, trend analysis, risk mitigation, and process optimisation.
* Proactive, practical, and results‑driven, motivating teams while maintaining integrity and diplomacy.
* Experienced in international environments, governance, compliance, audit management, and aligning processes with global best practices.
