At Carbon Cleanup, we build cutting-edge recycling technology that transforms carbon fiber and composite waste into high-performance materials.
Our mission? Closing the loop on materials. And we’re looking for bold minds to join us on that journey.
We’ve made it our promise to give carbon fiber a second life. As our project pipeline grows, we’re now looking for an Application Engineer to help bring our clean materials into real-world production - and guide our customers from idea to final part.

You will:
* Lead material integration into customer applications (from early-stage testing to production)
* Provide technical support and consulting to clients in molding, compounding, or additive contexts
* Manage projects across internal and external teams- from feasibility to final delivery
* Coordinate testing, prototyping, and performance validation of our materials
* Translate customer needs into technical requirements and product improvements
* Represent Carbon Cleanup at industry events, workshops, and customer meetings
What we’re looking for:
* Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering or related field
* Experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Carbon Fiber and Composite Part Production
* Injection Molding and Thermoplastic Compounding
* Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM)
* Strong communication and project management skills
* Hands-on mindset and confidence working with technical teams and industrial clients
* Fluent in German and English
* Based in Austria, and willingness to travel
Nice to have:
* Knowledge of sustainable materials, recycled plastics, or carbon fiber reinforcement
* Familiarity with material characterization, testing standards
* Experience in technical sales or customer-facing engineering roles
