At AVL, we are driving the future of powertrain testing with AVL PUMA 2, the world-leading automation system that significantly enhances the efficiency and precision of testbed operations. To support our continued innovation, we are expanding our product management team and seeking a Product Manager to help shape the next generation of our automation system software. In this role, you will join a dynamic team of product managers working across domains such as automation, control, databases, web technologies, and AI-powered applications.
* Drive product strategy: identify customer needs, monitor industry trends and gather internal feedback to define and prioritize product requirements
* Foster cross-functional collaboration: partner with usability engineers to design user journeys and work closely with development teams to turn them into actionable deliverables
* Support development & innovation: validate solutions and guide new features from concept to release
* Act as product ambassador: serve as the link between engineering, sales and our global customer base to ensure our solutions remain industry-leading

Profile Description
* Completed education (University of Technology, University of Applied Sciences or equivalent) in the field of Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* At least 5 years of professional experience in software/application development and testing
* Familiarity with automation systems, AI as well as powertrain development is a plus
* Passionate about creating user-centric, value-driven products
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* Analytical and structured approach with the ability to translate business and user needs into technical requirements
* Willingness to travel maximum 20 percent (worldwide)
* Business fluent knowledge in English; proficiency in German is an advantage

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €60,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
