What you'll do
* Define and deliver the roadmap for Toptal's lending products, starting with term loans.
* Balance growth and risk by designing products that scale adoption while embedding risk controls, fraud detection, and compliance by design.
* Oversee integrations with external providers for underwriting, servicing, collections, and payments.
* Partner with risk and data science teams to build scorecards, tiers, and decisioning logic that drive adoption while protecting the business.
* Embed compliance requirements (CCD, MCD, AML, local regulations) into user flows with zero regulatory breaches.
* Measure success through adoption, conversion, repayment performance, default rates, and overall portfolio health.
* Use AI-native tools (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, analytics copilots) to accelerate analysis, specs, and QA.
* Iterate fast: validate assumptions, ship in 2-week sprints, and adapt quickly.
What we're looking for
* 5+ years of product management experience in fintech, with a focus on lending, BNPL, insurance, credit cards, or consumer finance.
* Technical fluency - you understand APIs, data models, and lending systems and can translate them into clear specs.
* Track record of delivering fintech products from concept to scale.
* Experience managing credit risk and compliance requirements, working closely with risk, legal, and compliance.
* Proven ability to collaborate with external providers (credit bureaus, banking partners, collections).
* Data-driven mindset - you measure success by adoption, repayment, and portfolio performance.
